Abstract On the basis of the review of the western and Chinese aesthetic translation researches, the thesis uses both case study and comparative analysis methods to make study of Xu Yuanchong’s and other translators’ versions of Li Bai’s poems from the perspective of Three-Beauty Principle, which aims to justify Xu Yuanchong’s Three-Beauty Principle is not only applied in the translation of Li Bai’s poems, but also has practical value on the translation activity of classical Chinese poems。 What’s more, it is significant to apply aesthetic theory to the poetry translation for it can help us better understand the translation activity。 93075

Poetry is the ancestor of literature as well as the root of art。 It is the highest form of literature, whether in terms of language, style or rhythm, it is highly concentrated reflect society and express ideas and emotions。 Poem translation should not only convey the content of the original poem,reflect the original poem's artistic conception,but also be consistent with the original poem on the form and style。 Therefore, poem translation is difficult but translatable。 Research on poem never stagnant, in contrast, it is becoming further and more and more comprehensive。 With the growing influence of China in the worldwide, more and more foreigners are interested in Chinese culture especially in classical Chinese poems。 Classical Chinese poems are a part and parcel of Chinese culture。 Therefore, poem translation is a significant way to promote cultural communication。 Tang Poetry is the golden age of the poetry development period and it is also the beauty and essence of Chinese culture。 Li Bai was one of the most famous romantic poets in Tang Dynasty。 It was unprecedented prosperity development of culture that contribute to his success which made him become charismatic and notable。 At the same time, his poems have been translated into many languages by Chinese and foreign scholars and researchers such as Lin Yutang, Yan Fu, Xu Yuanchong, Liu Miqing, John Dryden, St。Jerome, Cicero, etc。 Among them, Xu Yuanchong is the big shot in aesthetic translation area who has put forward Three-Beauty Principle。 He is a prolific translator in China and is acknowledged as the only expert who has translated classical Chinese poems into both two languages: English and French。 His pursuit of translation beauty tells us that even though poetry is hard to translate, it can also be translated in a perfect way。 This thesis sets out to find an aesthetic way to the translation of classical Chinese poems from the perspective of Xu Yuanchong’s Three-Beauty Principle。 It firstly reviews the Chinese and western aesthetic translation history and then uses both case study and theoretical exploration methods to make study of Xu Yuanchong’s and other translators’ versions of Li Bai’s poems。 By comparing different translation versions, the thesis states how to apply Three-Beauty Principle to the poetry translation。 In the end, the author summarizes the approach of classical Chinese poems aesthetic translation and points out further study should be made on aesthetic poem translation。 从三美原则角度分析李白诗歌翻译:http://www.youerw.com/yingyu/lunwen_200866.html
