Abstract
With the advancement of modern technology and the increasingly faster pace of people’s life styles, the materials greatly flourish while at the same time there are more and more people stuck with a kind of psychological sense of loss. It is at this time that people need to ask for help from the classics of literature. Those literature works are comforting and have the effect of healing mentally. Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland is such a classic that gains much popularity among children and adults even as a children’s literature. The world between the cradle and the grave is one where the growing agony, as well as the irrational change and predicaments that the antagonist has experienced prevail, and all these will reveal something that is similar and resounding in every human nature. During this process, one can learn a lot, knowing better about the world as well as the inner oneself. Thus the book is of great value to be further studied from different perspectives.
Different people or more exactly, different scholars hold different views about the novel. Some scholars for example, Fan Shu (1999:71), studied it from an angle of the humor embodied in this work, and pointed out that the humor comes from the fantastic imagination and some tactics in the ways of telling which contribute a lot to its humorous effect. Some other scholars like Liu Wen, discussed the novel from its writing technique, that is to say, the cohesion in promoting an easier understanding of the novel(2010:9). This paper, however, will discuss the novel from my own understanding after reading this literary works again and again, combining with other scholars’ opinions, making a detailed analysis of the main theme of the literature work, and what Alice has gone through and what can we learn from the imaginary and fantastic wonderland. 英文论文《爱丽丝梦游仙境》:http://www.youerw.com/yingyu/lunwen_35549.html
