摘 要作为2013年诺贝尔文学奖的获得者，艾丽丝·门罗迅速走上大众文学的舞台。她的短篇小说构思精巧，叙事独到，笔触精准，形成了独树一帜的“门罗风格”。因此，她也被称为“我们时代的契诃夫”。《激情》是艾丽丝·门罗小说集《逃离》中的一篇小说，讲述了乡村少女格雷斯与未婚夫莫里一家和谐交往，却在感恩节家庭聚会时选择了与莫里的哥哥尼尔私奔，由此引发的一场爱情悲剧。69298
本课题将对《激情》中女主人公格蕾丝的婚恋观进行分析，并将她与小说中其他人物的婚恋观进行对比。在展现女性在恋爱、婚姻和家庭生活中所遭遇的困境以及其尝试摆脱克制、追求随心所欲的生活状态的同时，深入挖掘其背后的社会原因和个人原因。本文的目的是从细节着手，研究当代加拿大女性的婚恋观和妇女解放意识的变迁，挖掘小说中女性婚恋观背后隐藏的时代问题，并丰富国内关于艾丽丝·门罗小说的研究。对艾丽丝·门罗的小说研究，是近几年的趋势。本文突出同一主题的小说集中的一篇小说，针对性强；采用对比研究，更易探究多层次原因对小说中女性角色婚恋观的影响。
本文共分五章。第一章是对论文研究、文献综述和小说背景的简介；第二章是对格蕾丝的婚恋观进行文本分析；第三章是将格蕾丝与她未婚夫莫里及莫里的母亲特拉弗斯太太的婚恋观进行对比分析；第四章是从社会背景、个人经历和性格对女性婚恋观的影响入手，探寻格蕾丝婚恋观形成的因素;第五章是总结。

Abstract As the winner of the 2013 Nobel prize in literature, Alice Munro quickly steps on the stage of the popular literature. Her short stories feature exquisite composition, unique method of narrative, precise diction, forming a unique “Munro style”. Thus, she is known as “our Chekhov”. Passion is one of the novels in Munro’s short novel collection “Runaway”. It’s a romantic tragedy caused by a rural girl Grace who are in harmonious relationship with her fiance Maury’s family but choose to elope with Maury’s brother Neil at the family party on Thanksgiving Day. The paper will analyze the concept of marriage and love of Grace and contrast hers with that of the others characters in the novel.
By presenting the difficulties that women try to get rid of the depressed state and seek for free lifestyle in love, marriage and family, the paper will explore multilevel reasons. The thesis’s purpose is to study on contemporary Canadian women’s marriage and the changes of the consciousness of female liberation, revealing the history problems hidden in the novel and increasing the domestic research on Alice Munro’s novels.The study of Alice Munro’s novel is an up-to-date trend; The thesis is strongly targeted as it focus on one novel in a novel collection which shares the same theme. The adoption of the method of comparative studies makes it easier to explore the effects of multilevel factors on the concept of marriage and love of female characters in the novel.
The whole thesis is pided into five parts. Chapter one is about the statement of the study, the literature review and the introduction of Passion; Chapter two is the general analysis of Grace's concept of marriage and love; Chapter three is about the contrast of concept of marriage and love between Grace, Maury and Mrs. Travers; Chapter four is about reasons of social background, personal factors and character aspects that lead to the concept of marriage and love of Grace; Chapter five is the conclusion.
