The second is Social Interactionism, which is raised by Williams and Burden (Williams M, Bueden R L,2000, 171-185). The core of this theory is the effect of intermediation, which is the active assistance to the learners in the learning process from the people who has important meaning to learners. Though social speech interaction and other formations, the intermediation can create advantageous environment and encourage learners on their affective participants so that can influence their positive affect. Linguists Williams and Burden thought, language learners themselves can acquire target language in the environment which is full of affective social discourse communication. As the intermediation, teachers can provide students’ affective construction with encouragement, and strengthen their learning motivation and self-confidence, ease their anxiety to help their language learning. In language classes, the positive feedback from teachers is one of the most important methods to develop their cognitive and affective part.来,自|优;尔`论^文/网www.youerw.com
Humanism teaching methods emphasize to pay more attention on learners’ inner world (Dai, 2001). That is to say, the student primarily is a person. He has his own cognitive and affective world. Thus, applying this thought to SLA, humanism theory takes learners’ central position seriously, and it is advocated to regard language learners as an inpidual. Educators ought to satisfy their needs of language learning according to their unique personality. Thus, the role of teacher is guided by education and turn to the people who play a decisive in the positive affect of students. In teaching process, language teachers should be sensitive and skillful so that they can provide their students’ learning with positive feedback. At the same time, Ellis thought that the positive affective states can promote students’ learning effect, and the difference of their affective states can greatly explain the difference of learners’ English achievements (Ellis, 1994). Therefore, teachers need to pay a watchful eye on students’ inner world and cultivate their positive feelings.
