Abstract Humor plays a significant role in sitcoms which is one of the most popular programs in our daily life。 And in sitcoms verbal humor is the essence in the creation of humor。 At the same time, it is also an effective way to communicate with other people。 Many linguists study humor from the pragmatics perspective。 Sitcoms do a good job to offer many materials for the research of verbal humor from the aspects of pragmatics。 Friends is a case in point。 As a famous American sitcom, many people love it, especially in the aspect of verbal humor reaction, which is one factor that makes it an unprecedented success。 In Friends There are a lot of dialogues that will surprise and attract you to watch。 This thesis attempts to analyze the humorous dialogues in the American sitcom Friends from linguistic perspective。 The paper is pided into three parts, firstly, the definition and function of Humor; then a brief presentation of the study of humor; finally humorous dialogues in Friends are analyzed linguistically。 Through these parts, the mechanism of humor dialogue is better known, thus making us appreciate more about sitcoms。82200

摘要：情景喜剧是最受广大观众喜爱的艺术节目之一，幽默又在其中扮演了重要的角色，它是其艺术创作的重要组成部分;而言语幽默是情景喜剧的幽默制造的核心，又是非常有效的语言交际方式。许多语言学家多从修辞和语义等特征研究言语幽默现象。情景喜剧为言语幽默的研究提供了语用学方面的许多材料。《老友记》就是一个很好的例子。作为著名的美国情景喜剧，很多人都喜欢它，尤其是其在言语幽默方面取得了空前的成功。有很多的对话会给人惊喜，吸引着人们去观看研读。本文试图从语言学的角度对美国情景喜剧《老友记》的幽默的对话进行分析。全文一共分为三部分，首先是介绍幽默的定义及其功能; 然后简要介绍了幽默研究的发展史; 最后从语言学的角度分析了《老友记》当中的幽默对白。通过这些研究分析，更好地了解了幽默的对话的机制，也使得我们更加喜欢情景喜剧。
