Especially in highly industrialized countries, people lack faith and face severely spiritual crisis。 In the constant pursuit of material, humans go farther and farther, and there are more and more diaphragm and the conflict between human and nature。 Ecologists attribute the ecological crisis that humans face to the survival crisis of modern society and cultural crisis。 And they believe that the root causes of the ecological crisis lie precisely in some of our social mechanisms, patterns of behavior and human values。 Thus, human must have a fundamental transformation of values and the current social system。 Only when the natural and social co-exist, can the ecological crisis and the crisis of survival be solved。

Under pressures of the global ecological crisis and the spread of  modern environmental movement, the ecological environment has emerged with the change of different time’s spirits, such as the spirits from the industrial civilizations to the ecological civilizations。 Ecology is the first one to show the thoughts about environment。 With the development of the ecological movement, ecological doctrine gradually has been developed to be a radical environmentalism, through the animal liberation or right theory, life center theory, ecology center on various kinds of typical theoretical form。 The latest development of the ecological doctrine is ecological feminism theory and ecological postmodernism。 The significance of ecologism is to put forward the harmonious unity of ecological values and redefine the relationship between man and nature。

Marine ecology is the study of the relationship between marine organisms and marine environment they inhabit。 It is a branch of ecologism, and also a major component of marine biology。 As living beings on a water-oriented planet, we human are supposed to realize the our pertinence to the ocean and coexistence as a whole。 In ecologism, the ocean, as an organism, has functions of supporting life, ensuring the mutualistic symbiosis of its internal creatures, facilitating dynamic contact and implementing dynamic circulation with the external。 As ancient lives were born in the sea and the light, the sea has being been the organism which nurtures countless lives。

Post-modern marine ecological civilization is a new civilization of harmony between man and marine, and it requires a fundamental change in twenty-first century of the mode in thinking, attitudes and values that the human is the conqueror of marine。 Ecological view of human values is to advocate the harmonious development of man and ocean, and it is of great significance of the new values to reshape the harmonious coexistence of man and marine with the new relationships’ development。  If the mankind in twenty-first century takes ecological principle as their most important parts of value, the ecological crisis fundamentally and can truly overcome。 Harmony unity of the new situation is expected to come。
