I have read many theses about the subject of my thesis。 However, many theses are only studied from two separated points, which is the study of English writing in middle school and the cultivation of creative thinking ability of middle school students。 There are only a few theses that are concerned with the combination of the two points。 The first point is from the current situation of English writing in middle school。 This kind of theses attaches much importance to the problems that may emerge in middle school and put up with some ways to solve these problems。 The other kind is from the point of the cultivation of middle school students’ thinking ability。 Creative thinking ability refers to the creative consciousness and creative spirit of the thinking activity, which is not strange and doesn’t strive for changes。 However, it means to introduce a question creatively and solve the problem creatively。 This kind of theses weighs on how to create middle school students’ thinking ability and put forward some ways, which are from the creation of teaching methods of teachers and the efforts of students to create thinking ability。 However, these two kinds of theses are too separated so that they don’t have a comprehensive study of middle school students’ writing。 Many of the problems that middle school students may emerge can attribute to the lack of creation in English writing。 They ignore the importance of creation and just study the problems without any solutions to them。 During the study, I find that there are some theses about English writing and creative thinking ability。 To sum up, these kinds of theses look into the current situations of middle school students’ writing and some of which put forward some solutions to these problems, including the influence of all kinds of examinations and some other problems。 However, there are still some problems that are left unsolved, which are made up by the lack of creation and content about teachers and students, and the problems of single dimension and convergence。 So, through the study of my thesis, these problems can be solved in some ways。 And in my study, there are still some questions need to be studied in the future。
3。The Current Situation of Middle School Students’ Writing
3。1 The lack of creation in content
There is one point to explain why today’s middle school students are lacking in creation in content, that is though the development of the Internet is becoming faster and faster, middle school students still have little time in exploring the outside world, because they are busy at how to get high marks under the heavy study pressure from the society and school。 Because they have little chance to approach the world besides books and students know almost nothing。 As a result, when asked to write a passage, students tend to have the same ideas。 When talking about friendships, they are apt to write something about the conflicts among them; when talking about something that make them happy or sad, students tend to write something about the marks that they get。 These examples can show that students lack creation in form。
