摘要翻译不仅涉及两种语言，也涉及两种文化，在翻译中我们不能回避文化因素而单纯谈论翻译，而是应该正确对待英汉文化的具体差异，制定相应的翻译策略。本论文主要研究归化和异化在中西方思文方式，价值观和宗教信仰中的具体运用，并通过运用大量的例证来探讨如何在翻译中合理的运用归化和异化策略。最后得出只有使归化和异化结合使用才能使翻译变得更加完美的结论，同时也希望本论文能有助于加深读者对归化和异化策略的理解和使用。39391

Abstract Translation involves not only two languages but also two cultures. People can not avoid cultural elements to purely talk translation. We should treat English and Chinese culture special differences and formulate relevant translation strategies. This paper will talk about the concrete application of domestication and foreignization from thinking ways, values, and religious beliefs in China and the West. This paper uses lots of typical examples to study how to reasonably use domestication and foreignization in translation. In the last, this paper makes a conclusion that only combing domestication and foreignization can make the translation become more beautiful. Hopefully, this paper is beneficial to strengthen understanding and application of domestication and foreignization strategies for readers.

I. Introduction
Translation is an activity that with a history that is very long in the world and it has a significant role in facilitating the communication and reciprocal understanding among various cultures. At our age, translation study appears two apparent trends. One is that translation study is effected by communication theory；the other is that stress on language exchange has been turned to stress on cultural exchange. Translation is functioned as a trans-cultural behavior; it can work as a way of communicating, and as a way of cultural transfer.
As the exchange of two different languages is involved by translation which are profoundly rooted in various cultures, there spontaneously appears a problem: how to manage the cultural elements in the different background contexts, when the culture that come from source and culture that come from target varies greatly? Concept of values and different attitudes cause many deviations that are attempting to repair the gap between target language text and source language text.
