Students in most regions in China learn English at school。 Phonics teaching has been reduced because of the limited classes。 Students do not have special classes to learn phonics。 However, sound identification tests are designed to check students’ phonetic knowledge in the primary school English proficiency test。 Phonics help students master the rules of pronunciation without learning the International Phonetic Alphabet。 Students can not only pronounce the words, but also improve their accuracy in English test, which will let them experience success adequately。

After the new curriculum reform, there are some new English words and something else added in primary English Teaching。 Memorizing words is an essential part of English learning, which brings more challenges to the pupils’ learning。 Memorizing words has always been the most difficult thing for students and teachers。 In order to help the students to memorize words more easily, teachers can learn the practice from other countries。 Teachers can help students know the corresponding relationship between pronunciation and spelling of letters and letter groups according to the rules of 26 letters and letter groups’ pronunciation。 Integrating pronunciation with spelling and training regularly, the students gradually form the ability of seeing words, they can read, listen and write, in order to remember the words quickly and improve the efficiency of learning and memorizing words。
