2。1 The current situation of English vocabulary teaching in primary school

First of all, the vast majority of students simply consider English vocabulary learning as rote learning, which only requires mechanical repetition by following what their teachers have done。 In the repeated process, students will feel very bored about the vocabulary teaching process, especially those students that have just started learning English。 Eventually, it is easy for them to lose interest in learning English and will reduce their learning enthusiasm and efficiency。

The first phenomenon is the opposite condition between student performance and vocabulary learning interest。In the survey of students’ attitudes towards vocabulary learning, students analyzed the importance of vocabulary learning。 At the same time, they believes that it is difficult for them to learn vocabulary。 The survey results show that the lower the learning interest is, the higher the school performance will be。 More than half of the students learn the vocabulary at the level of lower grades。 At the same time, it showed that more than half of the higher grades students don’t like the results of vocabulary learning。 It reveals that in terms of vocabulary teaching in primary schools, teachers pay more attention to the implementation of the teaching objectives and teaching content。 In the teaching-oriented activities, the teaching and attention of students’ interests have become the assisted learning in teaching。 In long-term fixed mode, it makes students continue to increase the difficulty of learning。 As a result, it is difficult to find the original fun of learning。
