3.3 Six Professional Standards For Conference Consecutive Interpreting
3.2.1 Frequency Of Eye Contact
The moderate frequency of eye contact with the audience in consecutive interpreting is of great necessity because the interpreter can better catch the audience’s attention and be aware of the overall situation from time to time. And eye contact with the speaker can give a sign to him in order to carry on with the speech. Through eye contact, the interpreter may get some feedbacks from the speaker and the audience and meanwhile make the whole process of producing smoother, more persuasive and polite (Dong Po, 2012: 30-31). 职业视角下的模拟会议交传失误研究(4):http://www.youerw.com/yingyu/lunwen_12839.html
