All in all, Chinese film translation research began much later than western。 Domestic research field is rather scattered and one-sided。 There’s no comprehensive and systematic research as well as no systematic theory。 Therefore, China should publish more articles on film translation and learn from western latest research achievements so as to develop our own creative translation theories。 Only through doing this can China build its own comprehensive translation theory。 文献综述

3。 The purpose of subtitle translation of animated film

     The main audience of the animated film is the children, so the translation must be understandable to the children。 When translating animated film, the translator must take into account the children’s age, acceptance, and educational significance。(Sun 20)。 Therefore, apart from abiding by the three principle of the Skopos theory, translators should pay close attention to children’s actual demand, comprehension, distraction and so on。 Then, the translators carefully analyze the purpose of the subtitle translation of animation film。

3。1 To amuse children

    The Skopos principle of skopostheory emphasizes that the translator should make clear the target audience and the linguistic feature of the original text so as to extract the purpose of the translation。 This paper focuses on the animated film Big Hero Six whose educational theme is very bright。 And the most popular character in this film is a lovable deity who is called “Baymax”。 Children’s interest lies in interesting images and vivid subtitle translation can help the audience understand the high light exactly。 For instance, the translator should use childlike, plain and concise words to make the translated version vivid and lively so that can form corresponding image in their brain and show great interest in this film。 If animation translation is not for the purpose of demonstrating child’s taste, or making children watch movie in a relax, pleasant atmosphere, the travail made by the whole animation team will disappear。 What makes animated film different from others is that it’s filled with childlike humor, which starts from child’s psychology so as to satisfy their understanding and demand for humor。 This is one of the most important purpose and the most difficult part in the subtitle translation of animated film。
