摘   要在中国传统婚俗中，有一个易被忽略，但极其重要的角色，那就是——媒人。他们是中国古代撮合男女合二姓之好的主要媒介，为两家起着沟通的作用。而在广东地区，有“打糖梅”，一夫多妻妾、童养媳、溺女等习俗，而媒人在其中都扮演了媒介和见证人的角色。到了清末民初之际，媒人这一群体的地位也发生变化，从举足轻重到无关紧要的地位。当时，中国社会风云巨变。处在与西方人接触一线的沿海地区——广东，由于外部及内部的各种因素冲击，其婚俗出现了极大变化，媒人习俗亦随之改变。清末民初基督教在广东的传播，女权运动的盛行，新阶级进行的改革等因素都是导致其变化。我们可以通过对该时期媒俗的研究，管窥社会变迁，以及分析风俗与社会背景之间的联系。89117
