摘 要随着社会的不断进步与发展,英语听说交际能力的重要性日益突出。但是,由于传统教育模式和现行考试制度的影响,教师在英语教学过程中过分重视词汇、语法而忽视了对学生英语听说能力的培养,致使“哑巴英语”、“聋子英语”现象十分严重。近年来,在建构主义理论的基础上,利用多媒体技术,将网络环境与英语教学相结合的教学模式有效地改善了这一局面,它使得基于交流、讨论的高效教学模式得以实现。本文主要分析了初中英语听说教学的现状和弊端,探讨了教师应如何充分利用多媒体技术,调整教学理念,以促进中学生听说能力的提高。10963

Abstract
With the development of the society, the significance of listening and speaking ability become self-evident. However, due to the influence of traditional teaching mode and present examination system, teachers pay more attention to words and grammar during teaching process, but less attention to the cultivation of listening and speaking skills, which leads to the phenomenon of “deaf English” and “dumb English” existing in English teaching for a long time. In recent years, a new teaching method, the combination of network environment and English teaching, based on the constructivism, has greatly improved this condition. As a result, it is possible for us to improve our teaching efficiency by applying the efficient English teaching mode based on communication and discussion in teaching process. The paper mainly analyses the present situation and drawbacks of English listening and speaking teaching and discusses how teachers should make best use of multimedia technology and adjust teaching methods to improve students’ listening and speaking ability in junior middle school.

I. Introduction
With the acceleration of globalization, English becomes increasingly important as the lingua franca. In particular, as China enters WTO and communicates with other countries on a more frequent basis, talents in various fields with proficient English skills are highly demanded. It therefore poses great challenge on TEFL (teaching English as a foreign language) in China to cultivate students into communicative competent EFL (English as foreign language) speakers.
