本文以目的论为视角,结合商务信函的特点,提出商务信函的英译汉要注重信函本身的目的和语言特点,采用相应的翻译策略及翻译技巧。我国目前的商务信函翻译理论体系尚不够完善,作者通过对目的论的理论进行分析,总结目的论对商务信函英译汉行之有效的翻译技巧:1、强调正确性原则,准确传递源文信息;2、按照文体惯例对源文进行删减;3、按照语言形式的差异对源文进行省略;4、按照文化差异对源文进行调整;5、运用套译的翻译方法。

I。 Introduction

     With the development of translation theory, more and more perspectives and methods can be adopted to articles’ translation。 In the 1980s, Skopos Theory, the core of functionalist translation theory, rised in Germany。 Since it was introduced into China in 1987, it has been employed in many translation areas, such as translation definition, translation criteria, translation comment, translation teaching, literary translation, non-literary translation, etc。论文网

     The continuous development of international trade makes the function of business letters — a kind literary form with strong practicality, become increasingly prominent。 Generally speaking, enterprises usually establish business relationship firstly with customers, achieve successful business trade and maintain business contacts in the way of business letters。 In international trade, the translation accuracy of business letters can sometimes determine the success or failure of the trade。 While in the actual translation process, a lot of present translation quality of business letters is hard to satisfy。 There are various of contributing factors, among which the lack of correct theoretical guidance is an important one。
