    Also, the present research is in line with the current reform on English teaching in China. The current English education reform of our country has come into a new stage and college English education has become increasingly remarkable. There has been an agreement among experts and teachers on that English teaching should meet the needs of students and the requirements of society. The study on the relationship between college teachers and students in English learning plays a vital role to improve the level of English education, optimize English educational system, and formulate sensible and applicable policy for English education.

    Last but not least, the emotional resonance in college English teaching can solve many problems in college English classes derived from the disharmonious relations between English teachers and students. For example, the two sides have obviously unequal status and the relationship gradually become alienated and utilitarian. All of these happen because of the lack of emotional communication. Under the guidance of humanistic learning theory, effective emotional communication in college English learning will make changes to current situation and promote the development of a mutual-equal and mutual-respectful relationship between English teachers and students.
    1.3 Methodology
    Probing into the issue of emotional resonance between teachers and students in college English teaching based on humanistic learning theory, I would like to give readers a deep impression with specific examples and case studies.

    At first, I read a lot of document to learn more information about humanistic learning theory and emotional resonance. Through reading I summarize these definitions and findings of other people about this topic. For class observation, I choose the Shanghai Institute of Technology as a model. Aiming at collecting more data to ensure the veracity and practical applicability, I download several questionnaires from the Internet and synthesize them into one questionnaire. Most of these questions, from the aspect of students, are related to the attitude, the practical actions and the emotional barriers in college English learning. The questionnaire is conducted among about one hundred college students, who are classified into two groups, the English major students and non-English major students. I also do the class observation to obtain the primary source.

    2    Literature Review
    Humanistic learning theory is based on humanistic psychology which is a trend of psychology rising in 1950s and 1960s in the United States. From then on, Humanistic learning and teaching profoundly affect the worldwide education reform.
