Abstract With the speeding up of globalization, the cultural exchange between China and the United States is deepening。 The film and television works, as one of the means of cultural transmission, is popular in china。 A lot of American sitcoms as a carrier of culture and humor provide Chinese people much entertainment for their busy life。 However, some subtitle translation was uneven, and there was a lack of expressiveness in the humor language, which could not trigger resonates with Chinese audiences。 Skopos theory, established by German linguists Hans Vermeer and Katharina Reil, provides an insight into the nature of translation as a purposeful activity, which is directly applicable to every translation project。 Skopos theory holds the idea that translating and interpreting should primarily take into account the function of the target text。 It consists of skopos rule, coherence rule and fidelity rule。 In view of this, it is necessary to study the subtitle translation of the humorous language in American sitcoms。 Based on three principles of Skopos Theory, this thesis aims to study how to meet the needs of people with different cultural backgrounds by the analysis of subtitle translation in sitcoms Two Broke Girls（Season Six）。 94636

摘要随着全球化进程的加快，中美之间的文化交流也不断加深，影视作品作为文化传播的手段之一在国内广受欢迎，大量的美国情景喜剧作为文化和幽默的载体进入中国人的视野，为忙碌的生活提供了休闲娱乐的方式。但我们发现，部分字幕的翻译水平参差不齐，存在着幽默语言表现力不足，不能引发中国观众共鸣的问题。鉴于此，有必要对美国情景喜剧的幽默语言的字幕翻译方法进行研究，以便更好地服务中国观众。目的论是由德国语言学家Hans Vermeer和Katharina Reil提出，他们认为翻译应主要考虑目标文本的功能。目的论在深入了解翻译的本质后认为翻译本身是一个有目的的活动。目的论的三原则包括目的原则、连贯原则和忠实原则。本文以《破产姐妹》第六季这一情景喜剧作为研究的对象，以目的论的三条原则为切入点，侧重研究三条原则指导下的字幕翻译所采用的策略是如何满足不同文化背景观众的需求，以及适应情景喜剧本身以及字幕本身的特点来进行合理有效的翻译。

1。 Introduction 

In recent years, with magnificent majestic, interlocking plot, and excellent production American sitcom has entered people’s vision。 And at the same time, subtitle translation also set off a boom。 However Chinese audiences have great difficulty in understanding subtitles。 Thus, subtitle translation become a significant mean for Chinese audiences to understand plots。 Skopos theory is the important theory of functionalist approaches。 Skopos thoery holds that translation is an intentional cross-cultural communication, which should take the expected functions to be achieved in the target culture as the primary reference。 A translator should choose translation strategies purposefully,the translation strategies should be determined by the intended function of the target text。 Therefore, it has broken the limitation of “equivalence translation” and made more translation possible。 Skopos theory, which emphasizes the function of target texts, maintains that translation is a purposeful intercultural activity and that all the translation should obey the following three rules: the skopos rule,the coherence rule and the fidelity rule。 Skopos theory greatly widens the research of the cross-cultural communication, instead of the narrow framework of source and target texts, or the translation between two languages。  目的论视角下美国情景喜剧《破产姐妹》第六季字幕翻译浅析:http://www.youerw.com/yingyu/lunwen_202709.html
