Study on the Extraction of Polysaccharide from Achyranthis Bidentatae and Its Antioxidant Activity
Abstract: In this experiment, the polysaccharide of Achyranthes bidentata was extracted by microwave-assisted and hot-water extraction. The polysaccharide content was detected by phenol sulfuric acid method. At the same time, the antioxidant activity of the polysaccharide was studied. The results showed that the extraction rates of polysaccharide through microwave-assisted extraction and hot-water extraction were 74.81 mg/g and 70.87 mg/g, respectively. It was also found that the extracts of achyranthes bidentata had good antioxidant activity. The clearance rates of microwave-assisted extracts for superoxide anion radical and hydroxyl radical were 70.48% and 45.54%, respectively. The clearance rates of hot-water extracts for superoxide anion radical and hydroxyl radical were 68.34% and 40.44%, respectively.
