What’s more, in 1997, a book entitled Don't Do It: A Dictionary of the Forbidden was  published。 Its author, Philip Thody (1997: 17) had complied all the taboos in the irreverent  collection that provided the background on all those "don'ts"。 

     In a word, researches on taboo from all over the word are innumerable, based on the achievements made by other scholars, the thesis will make a brief analysis on Chinese and Western taboos to give readers a further understanding。
